VAC Low Loss 50% Nickel Iron material

VAC developed two new alloys around the ASTM753-Type 2 material. The ultimate goal to provide  fine grain microstructure alloys with low coercivity in combination with a higher electrical resistivity which results in low iron core loss material than that of the alloys with 48%Nickel content was achieved by two new material developments:
MEGAPERM40L has a Nickel content of 40% in combination with a high saturation and an increased electrical resistivity. The specific power losses especially for high spinning applications can be decreased significantly. The other material ULTRAVAC44V6 with 44%Nickel content and an even lower coercivity and higher electrical resistivity provide a further improvement in the area of 50%Nickel Iron material.
By reduction of iron core losses VACUUMSCHMELZE made a leap forward in the development of energy efficient motor designs. These aren’t material which are only available in lab quantities but are produced in large quantities for industrial production.
